Advanced Roof Snow Melting Systems: Protect Your Infrastructure with Anhui Youyu
Accumulated snow and ice on roofs can lead to structural strain, dangerous "ice dams," and severe water damage to building interiors. **Anhui Youyu** provides heavy-duty electric snow melting mats engineered to keep roof edges, gutters, and valleys clear, ensuring your property remains safe and dry throughout the winter.
Part 1: High-Performance Roof & Gutter Protection
Prevent Ice Dam Formation:Our mats provide consistent heat to melt snow at the roof edge, ensuring a clear path for meltwater and preventing the formation of destructive ice dams.
Structural Load Reduction: By preventing heavy snow accumulation in critical areas like roof valleys, our system protects the structural integrity of both residential and commercial buildings.
Smart Energy Efficiency:Fully compatible with automated sensors that activate the system only when moisture and freezing temperatures are present, minimizing operational costs.
Part 2: Why Choose Anhui Youyu?
Premium FEP Insulation: We use FEP insulation rated for 200°C, which offers significantly higher thermal stability and a longer lifespan in harsh rooftop environments compared to standard PVC products.
Ultra-Thin & Flexible Design:The low-profile heating cable is highly flexible, allowing for easy installation in gutters, downspouts, and complex roof valleys without affecting the building’s aesthetics.
30% Faster Installation:Our specialized mesh backing stays flat and secures easily to roofing materials, significantly reducing labor time and costs for contractors.
Factory-Direct Agility:As a specialized manufacturer, we provide direct engineering support and agile OEM/ODM customization to fit the specific dimensions of your architectural project.
Global Quality Standards: Our roof snow melting systems are fully certified (CE, RoHS, ISO9001) to meet the most rigorous safety and electrical codes in North America and Europe.
Anhui Youyu: Safeguarding your roof and your peace of mind with precision heating technology.

Q: Can these mats be installed in asphalt, or only in concrete?
A: Most snow melting mats are designed for installation in concrete or sand beds under pavers. They are generally not recommended for direct burial in asphalt due to the high temperatures of asphalt (which can damage the cable) and the sharp aggregate. We suggest using a protective screed if asphalt is necessary.
Q: What is the recommended wattage for effective snow melting?
A: For effective snow melting in moderate climates, we recommend 300W/m² to 350W/m². For harsh winter regions with heavy snowfall, a higher output of 400W/m² is required to ensure the surface remains clear.
Q: How is the system controlled? Does it turn on automatically?
A: Yes. We recommend using an automatic snow melting controller with a built-in moisture sensor and temperature sensor. The system only activates when the temperature is below a set point (e.g., 3°C / 37°F) AND moisture is detected, saving energy.
Q: What is the cold lead length, and can it be extended?
A: The standard cold lead (non-heating wire from mat to junction box) is usually 3 to 5 meters (10-16ft). For large commercial projects, we can supply extension kits or customize longer cold leads during manufacturing to reach distant junction boxes.
Q: Do you provide design support for large commercial driveways?
A: Yes, we offer full technical support for B2B clients. We provide CAD drawings, step-by-step installation layouts, and electrical load calculations to ensure your project meets local electrical codes.
