Q: What is the difference between a heating mat and loose heating wire?
A: Heating mats come with the cable pre-spaced on a mesh. This ensures the correct spacing and eliminates the risk of installation errors, saving time and labor cost. Loose wire offers more flexibility for irregularly shaped rooms but requires more expertise to install.
Q: What is the output (Wattage) per square meter?
A: Our standard floor heating mats typically have an output of 150W/m² (14W/ft²) for light renovation and comfortable heating, and 200W/m² (18.6W/ft²) for use as a primary heat source in well-insulated rooms. Custom outputs are available for OEM projects.
Q: Can this be used under tile, wood, or vinyl flooring?
A: Yes, it is designed primarily for tile and stone due to their excellent heat conductivity. For engineered wood or vinyl (LVT), we recommend checking the floor manufacturer's max temperature guidelines (usually below 27°C/80°F) and using a floor probe with a limiter.
Q: What safety certifications do these mats hold?
A: Our products are fully certified for the European and North American markets. They typically hold CE, RoHS, and ETL/UL certifications, ensuring compliance with local electrical safety standards.
Q: Do you provide a thermostat to go with the mat?
A: Yes, we offer a complete system solution. We provide programmable touch-screen thermostats with built-in floor sensors (NTC) to ensure precise temperature control and energy savings.
